OverviewEdit

Audi A3/8L is first generation of compact class car Audi A3. Production started in 1996 and last car left assembly line in 2003 (2006 in Brasil). At the begining, only 3-door hatchback version was available and in 1999 5-door hatchback version was introduced.

In late 2000 facelifting was applied, changing headlights rear lamps and few other minor improvements. At the same time 6-speed manual transmission was introduced.

Equippment versionsEdit

AttractionEdit

Basic model with four-spoke steering wheel, "Fabula" upholstery and with 15" alluminium rims designed in style of 10 circular holes.

AmbitionEdit

Sport version of the car with three-spoke steering wheel, leather gear knob and sport seats. The suspension in this version is lowered by 16 mm. Similar to Attraction, 15" alluminium 5-spoke rims.

AmbienteEdit

This is more comfortable version of equipment than previous. It comes with four-spoke leather steering wheel, leather gear knob and "Alcantara" upholstery, armrest and inside light package. Outside, this version has different rims: 15" alluminium 11-spoke rims.

S lineEdit

Special sport version of A3/8l model. Additional style packages and body colours were available with this version. This is also the only version with 210 PS and 224 PS 1.8 L Turbo petrol engines.
